De Los Santos Medical Center and the University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) give back in time for the yuletide season through Medikalinga, a medical mission.

Serving over 300 patients, mostly faculty, students, and residents at UP Diliman, the medical mission held at the UP Bahay ng Alumni provided free medical services such as consultation (Pedia, Ob-Gyn, Internal Medicine, Surgery), tooth extraction, complete blood count, bone screening, and bloodletting. De Los Santos Med also provided free start up medicine for the patients.

A lecture on osteoporosis was given by Gloria Arroyo-Coronel, MD of the De Los Santos Med Rehabilitation Medicine Department to educate patients prior to having their bones screened. Gift checks and souvenir items were also distributed to make it even more worthwhile to the attendees of the medical mission.

Present during the event were Raul C. Pagdanganan, De Los Santos Med President and CEO; Romeo Carlos, Executive Director of the UPAA; and Norberto Mendoza, Board Director of the UPAA.

Medikalinga is just one of De Los Santos Med’s way of living up to its mission of delivering quality but affordable healthcare. The hospital believes that quality care should be made available for all at reasonable and affordable rates.
