In celebration of Manuel V. Pangilinan’s 71st birthday, De Los Santos Medical Center spearheaded the organization of a medical mission for the children of the Mt. Carmel Shrine community in Quezon City. Along with Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, De Los Santos Med provided medical consultations and free medicine to 150 kids – as well as their parents and guardians – who are living in the New Manila area.
Also part of the festivities were a mass honoring the anniversary of the famed businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist’s birth and a gift giving ceremony. The whole event was attended by Pangilinan, his family and friends, and representatives from his MVP Group of Companies that include Meralco, PLDT, Metro Pacific Investment Corporation (MPIC) and MediaQuest Holdings (owners of the TV5 Network).
The four aforementioned medical institutions are subsidiaries of MPIC under the Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings, Inc. (MPHHI) banner.
